Last March 8, 2019, SitesPhil Security Engineers, Enri Matthew Medrano and Christhoper ER Laylo, were invited to become guest speakers for JIL's Cybersecurity Seminar. As SitesPhil's goal of an IT and Infosec-aware Philippines, our security engineers talked about "Cultivating Information Security Awareness for Cyber Threat Prevention".
In response to ISACA's invitation to SITESPHIL, Mr. Benjie Brian Zamora, conducted a brief lecture on "Web Application Security Testing Using OpenSource Tools" last May 27, 2019 in Cityland Tower II, H.V. Dela Costa St., Makati City. Mr. Zamora discussed the importance of Application Security Testing, the essential tools for security testing, and expounded the Data Privacy Act of 2012.

Last September 25,2019 , SitesPhil was invited to conduct training about Information Security Awareness at De La Salle Lipa. Participants of this training were the IT students of this University. The goal of an information security awareness program is to educate users on their responsibility to help protect the confidentiality, availability and integrity of their organization's information and information assets. Information security is everyone's responsibility, not just the IT security department. And this awareness should start on academies.
GlobalKnowledgePhilippines / GKPH engaged Sophie's Information Technology Services Team for the Wireshark Certified Network Analyst (WCNA) Bootcamp last June 17-21, 2019 held at their training center. SOFTCON.ph: The Philippine Software Industry Conference is an international conference by the Philippine Software Industry Association which is the biggest gathering of IT professionals in the industry.
In this event Mr. Zamora, founder of SitesPhil, was invited to discuss how to do Web Application Security Using Open Source tools. He discussed the difference between Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing, black box and white box testing, and highlighted the big difference on automated vs manual testing, which most local VAPT providers only do.

Once again, Sophie's Information Technology Services was invited by the Computer Professionals Inc. to discuss the Web Security Application using Open Source Tools at the GENiiSYS Users Circle Q4 at Amazon Web Services - Philippines Office, BGC, Taguig City, Philippines last November 27, 2019.
In this event, Mr. Benjie Zamora, founder of SITESPHIL, was invited to discuss how to do the Web Application Security Testing using Open Source tools. He showcases how Open Source Tools can be used in VAPT through an activity to emphasize the importance of Web Security using those tools.
SITESPHIL did conduct a Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing Workshop for the DOST-Philippines Industrial Technology Development Institute last November 25-29, 2019. It was held at their office and DOST, Bicutan, Taguig City. Some of the topics that were tackled are laws related to information security, web hacking, mobile penetration testing, and network hacking, cryptography, social engineering, and many more.
Sophie's Information Technology Services has been a part of the last concluded successful event organized by GlobalKnowledgePhilippines / GKPH, the #WhatTheHack2019, and Ms. Roselle Reig, the founder of GKPH, was Sophie's Information Technology Services partner ever since.

Some of the topics that were tackled are website, mobile, and network hacking; cryptography, social engineering and more.
Sophie's Information Technology Services had their very first successful run of Secure Web Design and Web Development Training for Department of Science and Technology - ITDI held last December 19-21,2019 at the El Grande Resort, Lipa City Batangas.
This training enabled participants to have a solid foundation of knowledge about Joomla and PHP Secure Coding. The training also provided knowledge in Information Security, Freedom of Information (FOI) Order, Data Privacy Act (DPA) and Best Practices. It covered Web Development, Web Design and Graphic Design using Joomla, PHP and Adobe Photoshop.
CompTIA Security+ is a global certification that validates the baseline skills you need to perform core security functions and pursue an IT security career and Sophie's Information Technology Services had their very first successful run of Official CompTIA Security+ Training for Philippine Navy and KEPCO Ilijan Corporation last December 9 to 13, 2019 at our head office in Lipa City, Batangas.
The participants learned about Threats, Attacks and Vulnerabilities, Risk Management, Identity Management and Access Management, Security Architecture and Security Design, Cryptography and PKI, etc.
Sophie's Information Technology Services' trainings were really on demand! Last December 16 to 20, 2019, SitesPhil had their another successful run of Official CompTIA Security+ Training at Makati City, Philippines.

Last January 13-15, Sophie's Information Technology Services conducted a run of its Secure Coding Training at the Computer Professionals Inc.
Mr. Benjie Zamora, together with SitesPhil's roster of best lecturers, tackled how to apply security when developing applications. Some of the topics that were covered are how to handle ecommerce payments, principles of security engineering, data protection, cryptography, and many more. All of the attendees enjoyed the activities, especially the mini quiz bee done at the end of the training.
Sophie's Information Technology Services conducted the training for SwapooLabs last February 17-21, 2020. It was held at their office in BGC, Taguig City. Mr. Benjie Brian Zamora, SITESPHIL's Head of Consulting and our security engineers tackled various topics including Laws related to Information Security, Cryptography, Network Hacking, Web Application Hacking, Web Server Hacking, and many others.
In addition, Capture The Flag contest was held to assess the trainees' understanding in a creative and fun way.
We brought our very first training, Wireshark Certified Network Analyst Bootcamp online last March 12, 2020.

The second run of our "Online Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing Workshop" was held last April 22-24, 2020. Sophie's Information Technology Services (SitesPhil) instructors have once again imparted their wisdom on the theoretical and practical concepts in ethical hacking to our attendees. Their learning was assessed through different laboratory activities and our very own variation of "Capture the Flag" (CTF) contest.
